I have been trying to call the SSA office at least 3 times a week for close to three months. I set on hold for sometime two hours. Same thing every time. Either the call will just drop, or after waiting for hours I'm told all representatives are busy please call back. I just can't get through. I really need to report a change of address.
Jan 18, 2022I need to change my address. Is there a form or can I get an appointment to come in to do that? If a form, where do I get it?
Dec 28, 2021 I wish I could give 0 stars. Open by appointment only yet you cant even schedule an appointment. Dec 7, 2021 What is the point of having a phone number if no one ever picks it up or calls you back? Nov 19, 2021 Are you actually open at local SS office, or is it only by appt. Nov 19, 2021How can I respond to a letter within 10 days if they will not answer phone. it's absolutely ridiculous.
Oct 21, 2021Answer your phone , don't disconnect the number without replacing it . How can a government agency be closed 24&7, I have been trying to reach this office for over 3 weeks.
Jul 7, 2021I have been trying deal with a Medicare problem and the fact that the office is STILL CLOSED TO APPOINTMENTS IS ABSURD. Get the shot. Open for business. Return a call. Book appointments. Resolve issues.
Jun 3, 2021 I need a replacement card are u open yet because I'm not sure if I should send my ID in Jun 1, 2021 Here's an idea. How about all the tax paid employees get the vaccines and get back to work today? May 24, 2021Trying to get a hold of someone for my appointment at social security and not doing a good job at getting back to me!
May 3, 2021 I am looking to get information as to how to assist getting an appointment online? Apr 27, 2021I'm fixing to move up there & the social security office here in Humboldt county isn't answering their phones so I can notify them I'm moving to Shasta County are you guys open to the public or still closed to the general public?
Mar 19, 2021I need to know if you have a drop box and if it is monitored. I have an appointment and need to get to you a few Items, of course I cant Leave my drivers license with you but I will make copy.
Feb 20, 2021You are not open, how am I going to talk to someone about starting my retirement.? I just read the statement on my right I will call.
Oct 14, 2020To Whom it May Concern: I am very disappointed and quite upset that the local social security offices have not been opened up for the public, even by appointment. I need to process a name change, and am definitely not comfortable sending it in via mail as these offices are notorious for losing some information they receive. I have been waiting to process this since March, and feel that such necessary businesses as the social security office should be open, at least by appointment. It is ridiculous that malls and bars and restaurants can be open, but a necessary office such as yours is not. Please look into this and allow patrons to make appointments to come into the office, of course wearing masks. Thank you.
Jul 7, 2020Hello- I need to do a name change (I was married in Feb) is the office taking in person appointments?
Jun 13, 2020I sent for a replacement social security number two weeks ago. One week ago. I sent my drivers license in at your request. I am still waiting for it. What are you doing. I need my license back. You are supposed to help the public. So do it

Jan 15, 2020 Quick & courteous service to change my address. Jun 12, 2019I am getting calls from 214-247-6781 saying you all going to stop my payments is it true I try to call
Apr 8, 2019I keep getting calls from 1 402 983 9896 saying he's from social security and my benefits are being suspended for 9 yrs. What is happening? Is this true or a scam ?
Aug 4, 2014This office hangs up when answering more often than not. You need to either provide a way to leave voice messages for a call back or an email address. People have real lives and listening to 10 minutes of useless recording only to have the phone go to a busy signal is not acceptable.
****IMPORTANT: Social Security offices are offering more in-person appointments and have resumed in-person services for people without an appointment. To avoid waiting in line, they strongly encourage people to use the online services at https://www.ssa.gov/onlineservices or call them to schedule appointments in advance rather than walking in without an appointment.
