They must also enter into an agreement with an Authentication Service Agency (ASA) to connect to the UIDAI’s Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR). Aadhaar authentication is a process by which the UIDAI verifies the identity of an individual by matching their Aadhaar number and demographic or biometric information against the information stored in the CIDR.
